The first newsletter of the 385th Bomb Group Association was known simply as News Bulletin #1, dated 27 May 1957 and was issued by Ruel G. Weikert,  News Bulletin #2 was dated August, 1957; News Bulletin #5, September, 1960.  Over the succeeding years, a newsletter was apparently published intermittently. Most newsletters from 1957-1975 are among the missing. Anyone with copies thereof are requested to submit copies to be added to this archive. The next newsletter, dated 8 August 1975 was called simply Members Newsletter.  The next issue dated 15 December, 1975 was called 385th Bombardment Group (H) Reunion Newsletter.  From April , ’76 through November, 87, the name reverted to Newsletter.  For some reason, the January, ’88 issue had no name, but beginning in April, ’88, the name became Hardlife Herald and so it remains until today.
